Plain acetone is available at a drug store or beauty supply store in the same area as the nail polish removers.
Wal Mart..ACE hardware..HomeDepot...Lowes...Any place that sells paint ect
Acetone is a strong ketone solvent. It is very ';hot'; (fast evaporating). I buy it by the gallon to use in cleaning a spray gun and after stripping furniture. It is found in some commercial products, I know that it's also in most lacquer thinners, some strippers and SuperGlue accelerator. It dissolves some plastics and most finishes, so it's too strong to be found in a lot of things in any large quantity.





Oh, and it's used in meth labs. Which is why my paint store reports what of it they've sold.
