HELP new relationship, was in his car painting my nails and accidently got nail polish on the roof of this car

The nailpolish was bright pink. He has an explorer so the interior roof is like a light gray. I need to find a way to get it off with out it running or ruining the roof. Use acetone and a couple of clean white towel-type rags. Soak the nail polish with acetone and dab it off with the towel. Don't wipe or it will spread. Use a clean spot on the towel each time you dab. You can also try lots of cotton balls.
