any colour really! if you wear many different colours it doesn't particually matter as it will like you've purposely not matched!!
black nail varnish goes with everything, but i think thats a bit outof fashion atm.. if you wanted a dark colour go for a really dark burgandy or something so it's got some colour to it!!
if you wanted colour on them, a light red looks really nice with anything really and not slutty! lol but any colour looks nice tbf!!
you could choose your favorite color. Or try a style that has one color on the nail then have your nails have little designs on them with a differnt color like this.

you can always go with a neutral like silver gold or black. but always match with the dress you can always match with shoes you want to wear OR go out and get youre nails done then find a dress you want that matches youre nails

If your a college student I would go with a yellow dress (with sparkles on it)
If your wearing a yellow dress with silver sparkles on it I would go with a silver nail polish with sparkles on it
different natural french manicures look really good! by natural i mean like light pink or white or peach, or you could get whatever color u want

Try a nude sort of colour (Chanel do good ones). But the old classic suits-all-outfits has to be the French Manicure. I got a good set from Rimmel which was relatively cheap, but still good.
A light baby pink always looks cute. Also, a dark maroon or plum that almost looks black.
